Have you ever lost the will to live? Had everything you’RE fighting for fall apart again?

Have you ever lost the strength to fight? Been stranded in your sorrow, searching for the light?

Well, I know all of this and more. I’ve lost so many battles without beginning any wars.

And I know the pain from deep inside. When your guards turn into vipers, with venom in their eyes…

Have you ever lost the will to dream?

To have a vision far beyond what hands or eyes could reach?

Have you ever lost the strength to cry?

Found your tears had lost all power to dull the pain inside?

Well, I know all of this and more. I’ve buried many brothers on the fields of foreign wars.

And I know the pain from deep inside. Searching for a reason to even stay alive…

But I also know a Savior!

He flung wide the gates!
He opened up the doors!
Conquered all the barricades!
Toppled every single wall!

He ransomed my heart, from the enemy’s lies! My ashes and bones are given new life!

Have you ever lost the will to live?

Then found a love worth fighting for, that conquers even sin?

Have you ever lost the strength to fight?

Then turned to One Who’s Stronger, Who has never left your side?!

Well, I know all of this and more.

I’ve lost so many battles, but with Him I win the war!

And I know the pain from deep inside.

It’s eclipsed now by His glory, because for the very first time…

I am Alive.
